My wife and our four boys moved to Sandpoint for the same reason most people do—it is one of the greatest small towns in the country! Whether it is residential property, waterfront, that unique homestead, or vacant land, I love helping clients find their dream home here in North Idaho, as well as assisting clients sell their property so they can move on to their next adventure.

Before my life as a real-estate agent, I was a prosecutor for 15 years handling complex cases. I have been featured on Dateline NBC (Episode: The Prussian Blue Mystery) and worked with federal and state agencies to prosecute crime. I am also licensed to practice law in Idaho.

In 2009, I founded the WestBean Coffee Roasters, which is now a successful coffee roastery with four cafes. Prior to law school, I worked in Japan as the international marketing director for a major electronics company and still speak Japanese fairly fluently.

It is my diverse experience that gives me the ability to think outside the box and take care of my clients' needs. If you are coming to me as a buyer, I pride myself on being aggressive, listening to your needs, and finding unique ways to make sure you get the best deal possible.

Growing up in Alaska has given me a passion for the lifestyle North Idaho offers. My wife and our three boys—and our giant bernedoodle, Guinness!—feel so blessed to call Sandpoint home.

I am a Doctor of Psychology who has worked with special offenders in maximum security prison, run a partial hospitalization clinic, and owned and operated my own successful private practice, offering full-service psychological services to individuals dealing with the entire spectrum of mental and emotional challenges we humans can encounter. I pride myself on my focused work ethic that was nurtured working along side my father who built Scandinavian scribe-fit log homes in Palmer, Alaska. From commercial fishing for Sockeye salmon in Bristol Bay to installing computer networks in remote villages throughout Alaska, I’ve worked successfully with a wide variety of people from all walks of life. Life in Alaska installed in me an adventurous spirit that has led to extensive world travel, playing professional soccer in England, and obtaining my doctorate. I believe we are meant to thrive not merely survive, and my wide array of experiences in life gives me the ability to truly connect with my clients, their goals and desires, and facilitate an amazing real estate experience.

My experience with real estate began in 2007 managing vacation rentals. My wife and I currently own and operate a property management company that services the property owners of Sandpoint.
